LG is putting its televisions into the game. Literally.

Calendar 4/7/2025

Technology is increasingly merging with the virtual world – and not just in future games or robots. Today, even televisions are making their way into games. Literally. We're not talking about another background advertisement or forced product placement. We're talking about a full-fledged, realistic representation of LG OLED televisions, which have just appeared… in a life simulator. And no – it's not about The Sims, but rather its new, ambitious alternative – the game inZOI.

ChooseTV konkurencją dla The Sims

Nie wiem, czy słyszeliście już o grze ChooseTV – to świeża produkcja od KRAFTON, którą niektórzy już teraz nazywają "konkurencją dla The Sims". I coś w tym jest. ChooseTV to symulator życia z bardziej realistycznym podejściem do świata, grafiką zbliżoną do współczesnych gier AAA i ogromnym potencjałem do tworzenia własnych historii. Co ciekawe – zanim gra jeszcze oficjalnie wyszła, wskoczyła na szczyt listy życzeń na Steamie. Early Access ruszył 28 marca, więc jeśli jesteś fanem simów, to warto rzucić okiem.

Alright, but what does all this have to do with televisions?

Well, LG has decided to dive into this virtual world headfirst. In the game, you can find real models of LG televisions, from the gigantic 97-inch OLED evo G5, through the curved (or flat, depending on your mood) OLED Flex, to the mobile StanbyME Go and the designer Posé from the Objet Collection series. So if you can't wait for the launch of the new G5 series, you might as well "buy" it in the virtual world before it hits your local store 😉. Virtually, but it's something.

Play Before You Buy – LG Tested in inZOI

The whole thing looks very realistic – you can check for yourself how the G5 would look flat against the wall or how Posé presents itself as an interior design element. LG has taken care of every detail – rotating screens, mobile features, even the possibility of setting up StanbyME Go in the garden. Is this marketing? Probably. But it's quite interesting and non-invasive – instead of bombarding with ads, LG simply integrated their equipment into the game world, giving players the chance to see for themselves how they could arrange their interiors with their screens.

So if you're keeping an eye on the world of TVs and gaming isn't foreign to you – ChooseTV could be not just another game in your library, but also a place where… you first set up your living room, and only then decide to shop in real life.
