The MAX app, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, has finally debuted on Titan OS, the operating system used in Philips televisions. This is good news for users of this platform, who until now have had to go without, as MAX has been available for some time on other systems, such as Android TV, webOS, and Tizen. The new update to Titan OS not only provides access to the popular service but also highlights Philips' development ambitions, which consistently expand its capabilities.
After the information about the addition of the MAX app to the Titan OS system, we decided to check if the update also reached our Polish market. We visited a local store and are pleased to confirm – the app is available! This is great news for Philips TV users, and we, taking this change into account, updated our tests. As a result, models with Titan OS received higher ratings in our rankings.
Titan OS has lagged a bit behind the competition, but now users can enjoy the full Max library, including hits like Game of Thrones, Succession, and the latest cinematic productions in 4K HDR. The app support is smooth, and Titan OS has integrated Max with the main screen. Adding Max to Titan OS is a step that has been long-awaited. Philips can now offer something that users of other brands have – access to one of the best streaming platforms without additional devices.
The appearance of Max is a signal that Titan OS is trying to catch up with the competition. We see that the platform is developing more and more, so who knows, maybe the next app launches will happen more quickly?
