Samsung surprises once again with innovations this year. In this case, it introduces a new feature that allows users to view AI-generated wallpapers in 4K resolution on Smart TVs from 2024. Such solutions have already been added to, for example, Google TV.
Generative Wallpaper, as the manufacturer calls the feature already available on Galaxy series smartphones, will be made available on televisions in the European market, in North America, and South Korea. The rest of the world will be able to use it from next year. However, there is no information about extending this feature to older models, despite the promise to update 2023 models from Tizen OS 7.0 to 8.0.
According to Samsung, the very idea of AI wallpapers aims to provide precise screen personalization, allowing customers to tailor it to their needs and style. This new feature will be available in Ambient Mode, which currently displays selected wallpapers along with weather, time, and other content widgets.
To start generating your own wallpapers, you need to go to the "Ambient Mode" menu and choose one of the themes, such as "Happy Holiday" or "Party." The artificial intelligence then generates a 4K image based on the user's preferences.
