A while ago, we wrote about the webOS 24 update that arrived on LG OLED TVs from 2023. Now it's time for the models from 2022. This is good news for the owners of these devices who have been waiting for new features and improvements.
What's new in webOS 24?
Here is the list of changes:
Google Cast (Chromecast) – seamless streaming of multimedia content from phones and tablets without additional devices.
Dolby Vision Filmmaker Mode – a mode that now also includes Dolby Vision content, providing a more cinematic and natural experience.
Always Ready – a feature that allows the TV to display useful information or aesthetic screensavers in energy-saving mode.
Return of the fireworks screensaver – a classic screensaver that many users are nostalgic for is available again.
What does the update process look like?
LG implements the update in stages to avoid server overload. OLED models from the C2, G2, LX1, and LX3 series will receive new software in the coming weeks. If someone is pressed for time, they can manually download the update from the LG support website.
