LG is getting its televisions into the game. Literally.

Calendar 4/7/2025

Technology is increasingly merging with the virtual world – and not just in futuristic games or robots. Today, even televisions are making their way into games. Literally. We are not talking about another advertisement in the background or forced product placement. We are talking about a fully-fledged, realistic representation of LG OLED televisions, which have just appeared… in a life simulator. And no – it’s not about The Sims, but rather its new, ambitious alternative – the game inZOI.

inZOI competition for The Sims

I don’t know if you’ve heard about the game inZOI – it’s a fresh production from KRAFTON, which some are already calling "competition for The Sims". And there’s some truth to that. inZOI is a life simulator with a more realistic approach to the world, graphics similar to contemporary AAA games, and enormous potential for creating your own stories. Interestingly – before the game was officially released, it shot to the top of the Steam wish list. Early Access began on 28 March, so if you’re a fan of sims, it’s worth taking a look.

Right, but what does all this have to do with televisions?

Well, it's that LG has decided to enter this virtual world full throttle. In the game, you can find real models of LG televisions, from the gigantic 97-inch OLED evo G5, through the curved (or flat, depending on your mood) OLED Flex, to the mobile StanbyME Go and the designer Posé from the Objet Collection series. So if you can’t wait for the premiere of the new G5 series, maybe you'll “buy” it earlier in choose.tv than in your local shop 😉. Virtually, but it's something.

Play before you buy – that is, LG tested in inZOI

The whole thing looks very realistic – you can check for yourself what the G5 would look like flat against the wall or how Posé presents itself as part of interior decor. LG has taken care of every detail – rotating screens, mobile functions, even the ability to set up StanbyME Go in the garden. Is this marketing? Probably. But quite interesting and unobtrusive – instead of bombarding with advertisements, LG simply placed its equipment in the game world, allowing players the opportunity to check how they could arrange their interiors with their screens.

So if you are following the world of televisions and gaming is not foreign to you – inZOI could be not only another game in the library but also a place where… you will first arrange your living room, and only then will you decide to shop in real life.
