Samsung has just unveiled the first details regarding new monitors that we will see at the January CES 2025. This year, the company is focusing on three issues: improved image quality through artificial intelligence, enhancements for gamers, and convenience in everyday work.
Odyssey OLED G8 and G6 – for gamers who won't compromise
For game enthusiasts, Samsung has prepared two new models from the Odyssey line:
Odyssey OLED G8 – a 27-inch 4K monitor with a refresh rate of 240 Hz. If you want excellent image quality and high fluidity at the same time, this could be the perfect choice.
Odyssey OLED G6 – here we have a QHD resolution, but boasting an impressive refresh rate of 500 Hz! This equipment targets gamers who prioritise responsiveness above all.

Odyssey 3D (G90XF) - Three-dimensional without glasses
Samsung will showcase at CES 2025 a 27-inch monitor Odyssey 3D (G90XF), which allows users to enjoy three-dimensional images without the need for special glasses. This effect has been achieved thanks to a lenticular lens – a special lens mounted at the front of the screen and a stereo camera that tracks the user's position and adjusts the image in real-time.
The monitor can also convert regular 2D images into three-dimensional ones. It uses artificial intelligence to analyse the content and add depth effects. As a result, both games and films can take on a new dimension – literally and figuratively.
Although the technology sounds groundbreaking, it is currently hard to say how well it will perform in practice.
Smart Monitor M9 – a versatile screen for everyday use
The Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF) promises to be interesting, as it uses AI Picture Optimizer technology, which automatically adjusts the display parameters to the currently viewed content – whether it's a movie, a documentary, or a game. Additionally, it features AI Upscaling Pro, allowing older recordings to be enhanced to a quality close to 4K. These are technologies from the manufacturer known from the televisions of this company that we have tested. So we are very curious how this has been implemented in the monitors.
The monitor is equipped with an OLED panel certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 (meaning deeper blacks and nice contrast) and a built-in 4K camera – useful for home office or video calls.
ViewFinity S8 – work, projects and graphics in one place
If you work a lot with graphics or projects, you will surely be interested in ViewFinity S8. It is a 37-inch 4K display with 99% sRGB coverage. It also features a USB-C port with 90 W charging and a KVM switch (which means you can connect multiple devices and switch with a single click). A brightness of 350 nits should be sufficient even in brighter offices.
We will have to wait for the full presentation until the CES 2025 trade show, but it is already clear that Samsung is heavily investing in solutions based on artificial intelligence, OLED panels, and features tailored to various applications – from gaming to movies, and even office work. Will they actually be as good as the manufacturer promises? We will find out soon.
