According to our information, the CANAL+ application is again available on Samsung TVs. After a long period of uncertainty and lack of support for this platform, users of the latest models from 2024 can once again download the application directly from the Samsung Smart Hub.

To clear up any doubts, we checked the situation in a nearby store, testing several Samsung televisions from 2024 – both with LCD and OLED screens. In each case, the app was available for installation, which means that CANAL+ has indeed returned to the latest models of this brand.

However, the situation is complicated by the strange confusion surrounding official information. During the night on platform X (formerly Twitter), CANAL+ published a post confirming the availability of the app on Samsung televisions from 2024. To the users' surprise, the post was quickly deleted, raising questions about the actual arrangements between the French broadcaster and the Korean manufacturer.
We are waiting for official confirmation
Although our findings confirm that CANAL+ is indeed operational on the latest models, we are awaiting an official statement from both Samsung and CANAL+ that would clarify this ambiguous situation. Of course, as part of our tests of Samsung TVs from 2024, we will update the list of available applications, which will result in a higher rating for these models in our rankings.
