LG is getting its TVs into the game. Literally.

Calendar 4/7/2025

Technology is increasingly merging with the virtual world – and not just in future games or robots. Today, even televisions are making their way into games. Literally. We're not talking about another ad in the background or forced product placement. We are talking about a fully-fledged, realistic depiction of LG OLED televisions that have just appeared… in a life simulator. And no – it's not about The Sims, but its new, ambitious alternative – the game inZOI.

inZOI competition for The Sims

I don't know if you have heard about the game inZOI yet – it's a fresh production from KRAFTON, which some are already calling "competition for The Sims." And there is something to that. inZOI is a life simulator with a more realistic approach to the world, graphics similar to contemporary AAA games, and enormous potential for creating your own stories. Interestingly – before the game was officially released, it jumped to the top of the wishlist on Steam. Early Access began on March 28, so if you are a fan of sims, it's worth taking a look.

Alright, but what does all this have to do with televisions?

Well, LG has decided to dive into this virtual world headfirst. In the game, you can find real models of LG televisions, from the gigantic 97-inch OLED evo G5, to the curved (or flat, depending on your mood) OLED Flex, and even the mobile StanbyME Go and the designer Posé from the Objet Collection series. So if you can't wait for the premiere of the new G5 series, maybe you will "buy" it in inZOI before getting it at your local store 😉. Virtually, but it's something.

Play Before You Buy – LG Tested in inZOI

Everything looks very realistic – you can check for yourself what the G5 would look like hanging flat against the wall or how Posé presents itself as an element of interior decoration. LG has taken care of every detail – rotating screens, mobile functions, even the ability to set up the StanbyME Go in the garden. Is this marketing? Probably. But it's quite interesting and non-invasive – instead of bombarding with ads, LG simply inserted its equipment into the gaming world, giving players the opportunity to see for themselves how they could arrange their interiors with their screens.

So if you follow the world of televisions and gaming is not foreign to you – inZOI can be not only another game in your library, but also a place where… first you will arrange your living room, and only then will you decide to shop in reality.
