The latest model is targeted at the most demanding users. It may be a response to the premiere of the Sony Inzone M10S, which we wrote about some time ago. LG has also decided to utilize its top technologies, not only to keep up in the monitor market but to lead it. So, what can we find here?
The 27GX790A model is equipped with a 27-inch display WOLED with a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440), which results in a response time of 0.03 ms. The refresh rate is 480 Hz and according to the manufacturer's claims, this is the highest value among all QHD OLED monitors. The color space reproduction is at 98.5% in DCI-P3. This model has also received the VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 400 certification and the highest level of VESA ClearMR. For the user, this means that according to this indicator, the monitor has achieved the maximum value in motion reproduction.
The display supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies, so users of both graphics card brands will be satisfied. LG has implemented its proprietary anti-glare solution, LG Anti-Glare & Low Reflection, which facilitates gaming in brighter rooms.
Here we find two HDMI 2.1 ports, one Display Port 2.1, and USB 3.0. There is no information about speakers, so the sound will have to be processed by external devices. A 4-pole headphone output supporting DTS Headphone:X may help with this.
The device's appearance is very minimalist, consisting of narrow bezels and a flat base, allowing for comfortable placement of the keyboard and mouse near the monitor. Additionally, the tilt can be adjusted from -30° to 30°. The price of the device for the Polish market has not yet been announced, but in the official LG store in the United States, it is priced at $999.
